Bio

Many would argue that the heyday of Australian indie rock came at the end of the nineties. It was a great time in music that included bands such as Something For Kate, Blueline Medic, Big Heavy Stuff, Jebediah, the long list goes on. Adelaide based True Holiday, featuring members of Grenadiers and Paper Arms, formed in mid-2017 have had a short and sweet 12 months. Playing their first show at the ‘Stonecutters Festival’ in August 17 as well as playing alongside British India, Unwritten Law (US) and releasing their debut single “White Knuckes”

“Milk and Honey" and "Speak Slowly” sees the band continue to develop their sound, tipping their hats to the 90’s as well as sipping scotch with more modern Australia rock acts Violent Soho, The Smith Street Band and Luca Brasi but still being their own unique blend with a duel fronted band between James Hasting (Paper Arms) and Phil Meakin (Grenadiers). The tracks were recorded live at Twin Earth studio by Justin Hermes.

Would work just as well in 98 as it does in 2018

When the punk godfathers of ADL team up you know you're getting the goods.

If Basement and Dune Rats had a baby, it would be True Holiday. I've listened to this three times in a row and I don't see myself stopping any time soon.
