Bio

The Tunstalls have been together since February 2007, playing blues infused garage rock with thumping beats, raw vocals, and punchy blues riffs. Live shows are energetic and powerful, their 'Stoner-Blues' proving popular with audiences of young and old. Hailing from Maitland NSW, The Tunstalls have played gigs up and down the East Coast of Australia, including support shows with The Fumes, The Vasco Era, Whiskey Go Go's, Skybombers, and Dallas Frasca. In December 2007 we released our first 5-track demo, which has now sold out, and we have just finished recording our debut EP at Linear Studios in Sydney, which was then mastered by Don Bartley. It is set to be released in March 2009 and is titled 'Los Cerrillos'. The tracks 'When I Was Young' and 'Blues of Old John Tunstall' are featured on Los Cerrillos. The Tunstalls have also been played on Newcastles 'New FM', and have been interviewed and reviewed by NSW Music Mag 'Reverb', in anticipation of the launch of their debut EP 'Los Cerrillos'. A run of shows covering the East Coast will follow the EP's release. For more details visit our www.myspace.com/thetunstalls.
