Multi-instrumentalist Cody Brougham decided it was time to release music after narrowly escaping a house fire in 2020 from those flames saw the birth of Underlay a project that creator Cody self-proclaims as ‘nervous pop’, with a mix of jangly guitars and analogue synths his sound takes influences from Smith Westerns , The Strokes, Beach Fossils and Girls.
