Bio

Based out of Adelaide, South Australia, The Union was founded in the summer of early 2017. Featuring former members of Dangerous! (Epitaph), Mayweather and Before Clear Skies, The Union immediately picked up where the others left off. Singer Tommy Woolcock stepped into and new world of songwriting and with the addition of acoustic guitar, took their sound to a whole new level. The songs were contagious from the beginning and they decided to record and release their first single ‘Saskia’ in the spring of 2017.

The Union’s second single ‘Half A World Away’ was released in July of 2018. After writing for months on end, the song captured their sound in a whole new light. This set the tone for the band in so many ways. From the heartfelt vocals to the melody driven guitar riffs. And with that, they found their sound.

When it came to recording their first full length “The Union (Self-Titled)” they called upon Paul Bakker from Glass Tides for drums and Jon from Twin Earth Studios as engineer to record the music and vocals. Paul mixed the album and it was mastered at Suture Mastering in Adelaide.

The Union’s “Self-Titled” album is due out by the end of 2018.

It doesn't beat down the door, but it's some classic Aus rock for a Tuesday morning and it's going down pretty well.

Sounds Killer! I love the sound you get on this recording! Kudos to your engineer in the studio! Vocals are great, sonics are full. My only suggestion would be to emulate some vocal harmonies with a guitar in certain parts to take it to the next level. Lovin' what you guys are doin' though!

Sounds Great!! Really full sound with some nice guitar harmonies.
Think the dynamics of the song could be improved with a key change or hook, but really catchy overall. Nice job!
