Velvet Bow are a Melbourne-based, coastal-born group of five, fostering tunes of surf-pop with gusto. Following the release of multiple well-written Indie tunes, the band made a decisive breakthrough with 2015 release ‘Streetlights’, garnering serious Unearthed attention and earning themselves airtime on Triple J. As well as maintaining their continued presence at By The Meadow (2013-16), the band also earned an appearance at Queenscliff Music Festival in 2015 alongside acts such as Angus and Julia Stone, the Hoodoo Gurus, Harts, Dorsal Fins, Fraser A Gorman and Foreign National. Their successful year was capped off with a 2015 tour along the East Coast of Australia that included sold out shows in Byron Bay and Geelong. 2016 saw Victorian Coastal quintet Velvet Bow tour the Surf-Coast of Victoria all the way up to the Sunshine Coast in QLD off the back of their two singles ‘Bombora’ and ‘Lilly Fuzz’ from their debut self-titled LP.
