Bio

Emerging indie rock outfit The Velvet Club blend a driving rhythm section with jangly guitars and soaring vocals to create nostalgic indie-rock. Reminiscent of bands like DMA'S, The War On Drugs & Spacey Jane, The Velvet Club draw on personal experiences and life in their early 20’s to create relatable, catchy, guitar driven songs.

The Velvet Club unveil their new single ‘Everything’s Changing’, a slice of delightfully relatable, jangly indie rock. Written and recorded on the brink of Melbourne’s 2020 lockdown, ‘Everything’s Changing’ explores the experience of finding a new sense of direction.

Forming in 2018 in Melbourne. The five-piece have taken their live show from backyards to playing support for the likes of Great Gable, Eskimo Joe, Dulcie & Death by Denim. Jumping on their first Festival bills and embarking on their first Headline Tour around Australia in January 2020 in support of their Debut EP.

feeling that dma's and war on drugs influence on this one. it's got serious size and drive and has me hitching a ride with you guys on the next big roadtrip.

Dreamy undertones and a galloping build up that feels so energising. Really enjoyed this journey!
