Rarely do bands come along with the right mix of purpose and passion to lift their music out of the humdrum and onto a higher plane. Veteran Rex is one such band. Three musicians from vastly different backgrounds have crafted a batch of fresh and different songs and now they are ready to share the Veteran Rex experience with the release of their new EP and an honest and powerful live show. The newly self titled EP was recorded in the dusty farming town of Gatton, west of Brisbane, in Stevies home studio, and mastered by Don Bartley at 301 Studios in Sydney. Combine a drummer with a Masters degree in classical composition, throw in a guitarist who has dedicated his years to early blues, add a bass player with punk roots whos passionate playing is enough to fuel any band, and, finally, give them some very classy songs thats Veteran Rex.
