About
Vic writes songs about urban landscapes, loves the sound of acoustic instruments and is heavily influenced by songwriters such as Shane MacGowan, Joni Mitchell and Rickie-Lee Jones, as well as her many Sydney song-writing friends, Melanie Horsnell, Brian Campeau, Josh Overett, Wons Phreely, Wesley Carr and James Henry. Vic has been performing since her first appearing at the Maleny Folk Festival (pre-Woodford) where she performed alongside and supporting folk legend Kev Carmody. She performed at Maleny till it moved down to Woodford and become a big overblown rock festival and she moved on down to NSW to focus on her play writing and producing/directing skills running her theatre company "Fabulous Moon Productions" in Lismore. Then she moved to Sydney town, her songwriting bug came back with a vengence. Since her arrival 5 years ago, she has clocked up a massive 78 songs, done about 500 gigs and has played to 1000s of Sydneysiders. With such a large number of songs to choose from - ...
