Bio

Vinny Lunar is a unique voice in Australian urban music, blending the sultry crooning of classic R’n’B with modern electronic soundscapes. Drawing from a diverse array of influences ranging from Craig David and Usher to Massive Attack, Vinny channels the introspective vibes of Drake and PartyNextDoor into a confident sound that is distinctly his own.

Emerging on the scene in early 2013, Vinny Lunar released two acclaimed releases under his previous moniker VCS – debut album ‘Awake’( 2013) and EP ‘Morning’ (2015). Vinny has enjoyed airplay on stations like FBi Radio, Triple J and 2Ser, with Spotify Australia featuring his track ‘Final Peace’ on their Australian Sound playlist. Driven by his soulful energy, Vinny has wowed audiences with his live sets and appearances at Field Day, OutsideIn Festival and The Metro (with Elizabeth Rose in support of CHVRCHES).

Vinny Lunar has also worked with some of the most exciting names in Australian music. Impressed by the chill vibes of ‘Awake’, acclaimed electronic-pop singer Elizabeth Rose collaborated with Vinny on the tracks ‘Can I Keep U?’ (2015) and ‘’Only Me’ (2014). He has also collaborated with Sydney Chill-wave duo Polographia on their track ‘Right On’ (2015). This was followed by his release of ‘Dare’ in late 2016.

Hopefully you're not experiencing the heart ache of a bad break up but hold on to this tune just in case, this is the ideal soundtrack to mope around a rainy city feeling blue.

Hearing this live was a moment of jaw-dropping realisation that Vinny Lunar just sings like this raw without any hint of tuning needed, and it makes me so damn jealous ;-)
