Years of playing in separate enormously fun, but inherently underground progressive rock bands placed THE VIRTUAL members Josh and Tom in the same circles, and inevitably allowed their like-minded paths to cross. Sporadic collaboration between the two began in those band years, and by the time ideas of THE VIRTUAL were conceived, a strong musical bond was already well and truly established. The unexpected twist was that THE VIRTUAL would write, record and mix from seperate studios, without the duo ever being in a room together. They believe that the purest thoughts are to be found separately at home, where expectations are on mute, and where individual ideas can be fully explored before they are shared. Now living in seperate states, this creative method has been undoubtedly proven by their newly released single ALL I KNOW and song to be released single TIDAL WAVE, that have been crafted and completed with only two face to face encounters.
