Vissac is an instrumental five-piece led by Perth bassist/composer Yann Vissac. Known for their dynamic style reminiscent of Bonobo or Badbadnotgood and a lineup of musicians with a love of their craft, they have performed at noteable Perth festivals Hidden Treasures, WAMFest & East Fremantle's George Street Festival, and supported the likes of New York gospel singer Danielle Ponder.
The band's debut single, Midas, was released in August this year, a jazzy oddyssey that was received positively by outlets & publications across Europe, the UK, US and South America for it's atypical sound and structure. Presenter Joe Khan from FBi Radio described it as a "rich, almost neon soundscape that drifts you along at one point and swirls you around at another," adding that there's a "strong sense of curiosity from Vissac and it's really refreshing to see emotion canvased in such a gorgeous way."
Vissac is set to release the follow-up single, Nitro, in early 2021.
