Starting As A School Music Project By The Two Members Jessie Malcolm (Vocals) And Vaughan Ashcroft (Acoustic & Electric Guitars), Playing Evermore & Goo Goo Doll Covers For Events And Fundraisers At Their High School.The Two Realised Their Musical Connection.Duo Started To Write Their Own Material In Early 2005.By Mid 2005 The Duo Had Written A Hand Full Of Original Songs And Recruited A New Member To Join The Group.The Rest Of 2005 The New Formed Trio Spent Their Time Writing More New Material And Occasionally Performing At School Events Under The Name "Sage" While They Finished Their HSC.2006- One Of The "Sage" Members Leave The Group And Now Jessie & Vaughan Are Starting Off Fresh, Under The New Name "Vivid Shade".The Rest Of 2006 Vivid Shade Spent Time Writing New Material & Defining Older Songs Whilst Playing Local Gigs And Supporting Bands Such As GLISTER & APERTURE.
