Artist:Wa Marie

Music for Me streams back to childhood, born in New Zealand. My folks were strong music lovers and soaked me up with the likes of The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan humming through the JVC’s! My father being a local songwriter, I grew a strong appreciation for “real” lyrics and music that moves you emotionally. Song writing triggered during my mid 20’s while travelling Europe and Australia, prior to that I had many stories to write about with travels to America and Mexico. Wa Maries first genre is beat poetry with deep strong vocals and a world of lyrics. Wa Marie carved a fresh path in New Zealand to the stages of local venues, events and festivals, including the opening for the World Cup Taranaki, the Lights Festival, NZ music month, Pae Pae in the Park the line-up included Cornerstone Roots, the famous Spiegel Tent, Multicultural Festival Norfolk Island.
