Bio

Armed with songs about fire, rivers and the night Wallace thought he had all he needed. He was a wearer of hats, a strummer of guitar and singer of songs and thought that was enough. It wasn’t until he headed to the wilderness on a musical expedition that he realised his music was missing something.

It was out in this unkept wilderness he heard a whole lot of rhythm coming from an old wood cabin.
Intrigued by the noise he knocked on the door where he found a man known simple as The Shiner, a mysterious Tea brewer. Over freshly brewed tea the two talked about all the important things in life; fire, rivers, the night and Tea and it was in this moment Wallace realised the Shiner was the musical companion he needed and that his delicious rhythmic drumming would surely compliment the music he wrote.
Accepting the offer Shiner put his favourite teas, drum sticks and hats in a bag and set fire to his house, never looking back at the life he once lived. He was no longer The Shiner, a mysterious tea brewer of the South. He was now Moonshine, wearer of hats, brewer of tea, and drummer of drums.

After journeying East the two made camp by a coolabah tree. Under the light of a crescent moon the two spoke of a third companion, one to accompany the sweet tones of a guitar and the rich power of the drums.
They left for a nearby town early the following morning. It was there they heard what they needed. A rich, thick, low sound coming from the police precinct. The two walked in to see a man alone, playing music to a host of reptiles, with more entering through open windows. He explained to them that the same way a Disney princess’ voice had an enchanting aura to woodland creatures his sultry bass playing calls to the wild reptilian of the East. They asked for his name, he replied “Smokey”. In further conversation Smokey asked Wallace and Moonshine how they felt about rivers, fire, the night and reptiles. It was this conversation that assured them he was their man. Accepting their request Smokey left his gun and badge on the chiefs table with a note that simply said ‘Big Smoke out’. With that he dropped the name Smokey and was hence forth known as Big Smoke; Wearer of hats, tamer of reptiles and player of bass.

Together the three are Wallace and the Two.

Great Track! Real driving rhythm and unique aussie vocals. A sort of blend of folk, rock and dare I say country but it works! An album of this would be perfect music for a long road trip.

Graveyard Blues is an amazing track, I have become very familiar with the song as my husband has had it on repeat for days! We love Wallace and the Two and can't wait for their full EP.
