Bio
Hi there.
It’s Lance here from the pop punk band, Since We Kissed.
I have to write a bit of stuff about our band now, mostly so Prairie will stop banging on about how we need to finish our bio. Does anyone even read these things? Whatever. I’ll try to keep it short and then we can all get on with it. Yeah?
Right.
So, I met Prairie near on 10 YEARS AGO whilst busking in Hobart and we’ve been playing music together ever since. A lot has happened in 10 years – we moved to Melbourne, played heaps of gig’s, developed an affinity for house wine, generally caused a ruckus and slowly went insane. Somewhere in the middle of it all we managed to tour the east coast of Australia and record an E.P. called “Kindly Take Your Clothes Off”.
Upon returning to Melb’s to “dry out”, Prairie and I met Alex (also whilst busking) who turned our folksy pop duo act into an apocalyptic post-punk three piece. As a trio, we began writing our first full length album (yet to be released) and played a bunch of kick-arse shows, most notably, our residencies at the Esplanade Hotel, Saint Kilda fest (2016), The Taste of Tasmania (2017/2018) and Party in the Paddock (2018).
What else …
Oh yeah, … we’ve even been lucky enough to support some pretty rad Aussie acts too. Some of the highlights include, Kate Miller Heidke, The Bedroom Philosopher, Angie Hart (Frente), Jen Cloher, Courtney Barnett, Davie Lane and Charles Jenkins. Also, we got to open for Thirsty Merc (2018) during the Melbourne leg of their tour … struth!
…. And that brings us mostly up to now.
We’ll keep y’all posted about all the new material we’re working on and hopefully we’ll get to play for you really soon!
Awesome. Bio done.
Now back to the music.
