Bio

Shooting out of the northern suburbs of Perth, the boys of 'Weekenda' deliver a feel good sound with a big chorus that will be stuck in your head for days.

Led by James Pratley, the band consists of Jimmy, Nic and Todd, after a few lineup changes in 2020. The boys have a big summer ahead of them, so keep an eye out and head down to a show in Perth!

I really enjoy the daydreaming vibes from the drums, and the dripping in summer, lo-fi 'ohhh's' behind that chorus. Having this sunny backdrop means that the devastating lyrics, "how could you do this to me..." cut through so strongly and dramatically to this real fever pitch! You've made a danceable song with a bit of a heartbroken soul.

Good stuff from Weekenda with this choppy garage brew.

This Perth outfit aren't gunning to tread new sonic ground but they're leaning on songwriting chops to deliver a record like this on their behalf. And rightly so, because this one will stick in your head, with bouncing knees and a big chorus.
