Bio

New to the indie rock scene, Sydney's five-piece West Street Drive has made quite an impression with their debut single 'Get What You Get'. The band says the single is their first step towards playing live gigs around the Sydney area with aims of producing an EP/Album.

West Street Drive formed in 2020 when Nick Radford (lead guitar, vocals) and Daniel Lane (rhythm guitar) started jamming with Tom Peter (bassist, producer), playing covers of The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Red Hot Chili Peppers. After a few months they began recording short demos in Tom's bedroom studio. The band then asked close friend Eddy Westcott (drums) to join as their drummer, which he accepted. Their newest member Annie Gross (vocals) was asked to join to share lead vocals with Nick and she is currently practicing extra percussion and keyboard.

Here's a tasty peach of a pop song, balancing indie-pop hooks with sunburst guitar lines. There's a deeping ambience and warmth to the recording that'll draw you in

Really cool scuzz pop - feeling those psychy moments all around and loving the pace change ups. Great work WSD!
