Willow Darling are a five piece, independent band hailing from Melbourne, Australia, whose music is nestled somewhere between progressive rock, folk, country and blues, coupled with a strong focus on vocal harmony and melodic groove. Dual singer/songwriters Jack Mcloskey and Cahill Kelly began collaborating together in 2009 in a small weathered beach house in the remote eastern coastal village of Bicheno, Tasmania, writing and honing tunes in relative isolation that would go on to form the basis of Willow Darling’s expansive repertoire. After recruiting Andrew Braidner (drums), Lain Pocock (bass) & Jack Michael (keys), the bands line up was set in stone. Willow Darling has been playing around Melbourne and its surroundings ruthlessly since 2010, crafting a rollicking live show that has gained them a respected following throughout the manyoverlapping circles of Melbourne's music scene.
