Bio

Adelaide’s (SOUTH AUSTRALIA) bubblegum punk outfit Wing Defence unleashed their debut EP, ‘Friends’ in 2020. Despite it being a difficult time for the music industry during COVID their EP went on to win Best Punk award, Best Release & Best group at the 2020 SA Music Awards.

The band was formed by Skye Walter and Paige Court in 2018. Since their debut release ‘Stuck’, Wing Defence quickly became one of Adelaide’s most exciting new
exports, winning praise at national festivals BIGSOUND, Groovin’ The Moo and Laneway Festival, as well as on stage supporting the likes of Polish Club, The VANNS and more. Winning SA Music Awards, selling out their first headline show with acclaim
to national radio stations as well as coverage form online outlets under their belt, the early chapter for Wing Defence has
been a strong one. In the last 12 months the band has moved from a two piece to a full band lineup still strongly fronted by the girls which has been a powerful nod to women in music.

Recently knuckling down in the studio with Wade Kerighan (Wolf and Cub, Polish Club) they will be delivering their latest tune 'Greener Pastures in April 2021 which will be out via AWAL, Dock 7 records (EU) and Sound Republica (South Korea)

It's got the scrappy, bratty ethos which is classic Wing Defence but they've cranked up the melodic element this time around to make this one really pop.
