Founded April Fools’ Day 2009, drummer Nick Amarant began writing and recruiting members for his ambitious power/progressive metal dream band: Wonderbeast. An appreciation for all metal genres allows Wonderbeast to explore and showcase all the best sounds that metal has to offer; from the galloping rhythms of classic metal, the attack of thrash metal, progressive grooves, soaring power metal vocals, to the highly orchestrated melodies of symphonic metal. With a wealth of original material already written, but without the band members needed to play live, Wonderbeast’s online demo EP “The Best of a Bad Situation” was uploaded in 2012, featuring “homemade” bass and vocal takes in the absence of full-time musicians. However in 2013, with the additions of Patrick Baguley (keyboard) and Zach Amarant (bass) to the line-up, the band will be releasing another EP, recorded under more professional circumstances than its predecessor.
