Bio

Perth dream-rock outfit Wooly Mammoth have just arrived with their strongest offering yet, their debut EP – ‘Fell, Took Flight’.

The EP comes off the back of a successful 2017 which saw the boys play with the likes of Holy Holy, Harts and the Money War, play shows all over Perth and South-West WA and appear on a local stage at Perth’s Falls Festival. They also released a handful of strong singles, including the anthemic ‘Edge’, a track which has garnered plenty of local love on Perth’s RTR and has clocked up 177k plays on Spotify.

This new release, recorded down-south in WA within the walls of the secretly iconic ‘Wave House’, is a coming of age for the 4 piece and their sound. Tracks like ‘Can’t Stand the Soul’ and ‘Seeds’ see the boys push sonic boundaries, coupling their coherent fusion of indie and soul with strong lyrics and sounds to create vivid sonic landscapes. Meanwhile, more heartfelt pieces, ‘Edge’ and ‘The Ladder’ seek out a more emotional listening experience.

you're nailing that thick, dreamy sound. it's a mix between ocean party, holy holy and boy and bear for me.

Mmhm got me hooked with that groovy piano chord progression at the start. Then the vocals came in and I’m officially addicted. Tasty track that oozes chill vibes. Perfect to play driving down the highway on your way to the beach. Can’t wait for more!
