After several years of imposing such a strange band name on an unsuspecting music world, Western Sydney funk rock band, XQuabed, have finally found their niche in the market and created a plethora of equally strange, yet wonderfully catchy music. Consisting of three members, Dean Gallagher fronts the trio with an onslaught of loud and jazzy riffs, which provide more hooks than a meat packing plant. From the broken branch of the family tree Mick Gallagher provides a distinctive bass sound with his incredible slapping and popping show. This man does things to his bass that are definitely not suitable for prime time. Musically of course. Long-time friend and easily manipulated halfwit, Dave Piepers started playing drums with the band after the others promised to pay him twice what they earned (which was nothing) and give him maternity leave.
