Ya No Solo is an electronic pop outfit from Sydney, Australia. When i say ‘outfit’ i mean one songwriter and producer, and a whole bunch of different singers. That bit is probably redundant though, i mean you couldn’t have a whole bunch of the same singer. Sorry about that. Anyway, songwriter and producer Tiim Hempton is quite difficult to get along with, apparently, and no singer will work with him more than once. Then they usually quit the business. Sometimes he wishes he could quit the business, but with his background what else could he do? Millinery i guess… i wonder how much it pays… Sorry. Getting sidetracked. Ya No Solo draws on training in what jazz guys call ‘legitimate’ music to produce pop songs that connect emotionally. Ya No Solo is ethereally grand, rotund yet weightless, great energy converted into graceful flight. Actually a bit like badminton.
