Bio

"...Yes the modern folk twist is there, along with a feel good, upbeat mixture of singing and playing. It is a definite play again, which perhaps is the best measurement." (Beehive Candy on Restless Creature)

Yellow Castle are an indie pop-folk duo formed early 2016 by Peter Money (Guitar and Vocals) and Emily Matthews (Keyboard and Vocals) from Perth, WA.

The pair draw inspiration from the relationships in their life to write honest lyrics with warm harmonies over simple and catchy melodies. Lovers of a wide range of music, their daily playlist includes The Kooks, The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, The Beatles, Buddy Holly, Run River North, Charlie Fink and Slow Club.

In 2016 Yellow Castle released two singles, "Restless Creature" and "My Daughter", produced by Sam Wylde of Dalkeith School of Music. You can listen to them on Spotify or Itunes!

This year, the two have started a new adventure in Melbourne, Victoria.
Since their arrival, Yellow Castle was awarded Second Place in Strike Event's Melbourne Lyric Competition for their dark and cinematic track "You in Blue". They are now under management by Luke McDonald of Crazy Buffalo Records and plan to release an EP and many more exciting projects together.
