YLEM (pron. Eye-lem): Primordial substance from which all matter was formed. Ylem is a musician who creates as part of the music/art collective The Community, which has contributed to underground culture in Perth by providing a platform for artists. Predominantly a dubstep producer, Ylem’s music pushes the envelope and reflects his taste for the emerging future beat sub-genres. As a producer, dj, promoter and broadcaster on RTR FM 92.1, Ylem has firmly established himself as a respected contributor to the Perth music circuit. He has released music on several record labels across the globe in the form of EP’s, LP’s and compilations.
