Four sentimental gentlemen from Sydney with an insatiable musical hunger, Young Romantics are a new wave band with determined independence. The Chemistry between the 4 members (Dave Jenkins Jnr - vocals/ guitar, Ross James - guitar, Billy Burgess - bass, Lachlan West - drums) is highly evident on new single Forget My Past. The song was recorded independently by the band in their cavernous, underground rehearsal space in Sydney, NSW. It was mixed by Jean-Paul Fung (Last Dinosaurs, Little Red, Leader Cheetah) and mastered by the legendary Greg Calbi (Talking Heads, Interpol) at New York City’s Sterling Sound studios. The band has said “Forget My Past” was inspired by desert landscapes, 1980s supermodels, neon signs and cowboys.
