Bio

Young Vincent have been putting on shows around Melbourne since 2014. Current release ‘Run’ will be their fourth single, expanding on their unique, alternative folk sound. Full of intriguing melodies and enticing harmonies, ‘Run’ is an alluring new direction for the three-piece.

‘Run’, produced by Colin Leadbetter (Whitley, Katie Noonan), uncovers a story about a relationship that is slowly falling into feelings of stale love and confusion. With a retrospective tone of sarcasm, it shares an experience of heartache through catchy lyrics and upbeat rhythm. For those having fallen in love with bands like Angus Stone, The Paper Kites, Fleet Foxes and Half Moon Run – Young Vincent is another solid band to add to the playlist.

After touring Australia with Woodlock, and selling out their single launch in 2015, Young Vincent’s upcoming Australian tour will be a 2016 date not to miss. Young Vincent was built on the members’ existing solid friendships and the band arose naturally from playing music with an ambition to raise money for a local homeless charity.

This will definitely do as my early morning surf song. The serene harmonies are mighty fine. Oh and those little --oh woo's-- are a very necessary addition.

These guys are solid songwriters and take you on a really gentle, warm stroll here.
