Emerging from the Australian roots scene, Youngtree are pushing the boundaries with their original ‘progressive reggae’ sound. Weaving strands of jazz, psychedelic rock, trip hop and dub into classic roots reggae the band from the hills of Maleny deliver a strong conscious message. Youngtree’s music is a dynamic fusion, often soulful and unexpected. Ambient melodies flow over twisted bass-lines, one-drop rhythms phase into experimental tangents, catchy horn lines cut through hypnotic delays, poetic positivity is laced with dark shades of rebellion.
