Bio

Formed in 2016, Yours Truly worked tirelessly on gaining a loyal and respected following across Eastern Australia. The Band self released their debut EP ‘Too Late For Apologies’ in March of 2017 which was received with immediate acclaim. The 5 track release, a record about growing up and experiencing heartbreak, friendship breakdowns and being betrayed, pushed the band to the forefront of the Australian scene, earning them tour support slots with Tonight Alive and Forever Ends Here. Their debut single ‘Winter’ was added to Spotify’s ‘Pop Punk’s Not Dead’ playlist, and their track ‘Strangers’ was added to rotation on Triple J’s ShortFastLoud Radio Show. Yours Truly released ‘High Hopes’, their follow-up single to 2017’s EP ‘TLFA’ in January 2018 through Youtube’s Dreambound. The track racked up an impressive 160,000+ views in its first 2 weeks, and was added to rotation on Triple J’s ShortFastLoud Radio Show. The band are currently in the studio with Stevie Knight working on the additional tracks to back up the bands latest single ‘High Hopes’. With the successful impact of ‘High Hopes’ the band have been seen and heard by thousands across the globe, they have taken every opportunity in their stride: performances alongside Tonight Alive, We The Kings, Eat Your Heart Out, Say Anything, Stand Atlantic, Between You and Me, The Comfort and instereo to name a few.

I think this song is phenomenally written. Here's a list of things i love about it:

- transition into doubletime drums and back again
- stops before the chorus
- chorus 30secs in
- a prechorus only before the second chorus
- soaring chorus melody
- space when you expect crunch and vice versa. surprises!
- a middle 8!
- KEYCHANGE!!!

This is a band that knows what they're doing. Specifically; tight af punk songs with skyscraper-sized choruses.
