Sydney independent producer and artist Zepha has released his new cross-genre single ‘Gone’ today.
While we've heard of surf-rap, Zepha is striving to combine his favourite elements of rock, rap and synth pop. Drawing influence from contemporary artists Luke Million, Client Liaison, Jon Bellion and classic 80’s giant Phill Collins, ‘Gone’ hits you with some big synth waves, big drums & catchy hooks. ‘Gone’ is a modern adaptation of a vintage 80's sound complete with a saxophone solo to finish. Lyrically, Zepha unravels the story of a young love that cycles on and off and the all too known friendzone.
Along with writing and producing in the last 12 months Zepha has been busy playing his set busking across the east coast and more formally, supporting Melbourne’s Ivan Ooze and Sydne’s Taj Ralph.
Gone was mixed by engineer Tom Garnett, Studios 301 who's worked with Travis Scott, Ty Dollar $ign, Bin Juice & Jimmy Barnes. Gone was Mastered Steve Smart. Studios 301, mastered tracks for Casey Chambers, Dean Lewis, Tash Sultana and The Living End to name a few.
