Bio

Young aspiring Australian artist 'Zion Garcia' is an 18-year old independent hip-hop creative, thriving with mixed Spanish and Tongan heritage, hailing from western Sydney.

Zion independently released his entirely self-crafted debut project, 'Plastic Woman', in 2018 onto all platforms, which currently sits at 100,000+ streams in total. Its sonic qualities can be described as ‘externally comforting, and internally heartbreaking’, being painted as more of a self-reflection of wellbeing, rather than an outward expression of psyche. Prior to that, he had been releasing music since 2015. ‘Honey’, his debut single, garnered over 10,000 listens on Soundcloud in its initial release. Subsequent releases caught the eye of various publications, as well as the Sydney hip-hop underground scene. Zion has played three shows to date; the sold-out New Age exhibition held late 2018, the sold-out seminal show from the Sydney showcase 1NCE AGAIN, and set the tone as the opening act for INQ. at their 2020 show at 'Kelly's On Kings'. As of 2020, his most recent work has been a feature on Melbourne indie producer Peach Body’s ‘Cross My Mind’, which achieved national coverage on Triple J's Unearthed radio, as well as co-production credits on R&B songstress Rebecca Hatch’s single, ‘Levels’.

This is straight confidence from Zion Garcia. Self-assured, totally in control and some very very easy listening going on here. Into this!

Full credit to anyone who can ride straight boom-bap and make it sound entirely 2020. Zion showing us a little Joey mixed with a little 36 Chambers.
