Violent Soho, The Preatures, Illy and Cub Sport are among the names leading the 2018 Big Pineapple Music Festival lineup, and there's soon to be one more: you! 

We're on the lookout for one band from the Sunshine Coast area to play the Big Piney as our Unearthed competition winner!

To be in the running: yeah baby! Just upload your best tunes to triple j Unearthed by April 22. We'll do the rest. Remember that if your track is pending on the Unearthed site when the comp closes, it's all chill, because we listen to everything that gets uploaded before we decide on a winner.

2017

Birds Of Tokyo, Cloud Control, Vera Blue, Peking Duk and a bunch more fantastic artists are headed to Queensland for the Big Pineapple Festival this May, and we're looking for one more act from the Sunshine Coast area to add to the bill!

We'll pick a winner for this competition based on the following criteria:

1) you gotta be from the Sunny Coast and have that listed as your region on Unearthed.

2) your best songs have to be up on your Unearthed profile by April 23.

If your tunes are listed as PENDING on the website when the competition closes - don't stress out ur brain. We listen to everything that gets uploaded before we make a call on who wins.

Pineys! Here's your chance to Pine up and play the Big Pineapple Music Festival this year.

It's a pine-tastic lineup full of full on legends like RUFUS, Hermitude, The Smith Street Band, Tkay Maidza and heaps of others.

If you're from the Sunny Coast and wanna be in the running to open up the festival, all you gotsta do is upload your best tunes to Unearthed by April 24. If your songs are still pending on the closing date, don't stress out: we listen to everything that gets uploaded before we make a decision.

For the first time, we’re giving one Sunshine Coast act the chance to perform at the 2015 Big Pineapple festival! Our comp winner will join a bill featuring Violent Soho, Thundamentals, the Jezabels and more for the May festival. To enter, make sure 'Sunshine' is set as your region, and upload your best tracks to triplejunearthed.com by April 19^th! No sweat if your track’s still pending, we'll listen to everything uploaded by the due date before we decide.
