This year's Fat As Butter line-up sees Sydney guys The Rubens join the likes of Bliss N Eso, Matt Corby, Boy & Bear, Owl Eyes, British India, and a stack of other Australian acts all headed to The Foreshore in Newcastle this October. There's also Canberra lads Peking Duk, power-poppers Bluejuice, indie up-and-comers Glass Towers, Aussie producer Kilter and Canberran political juggernauts Super Best Friends.

It's a massive bill, and one lucky local band on Unearthed will get the chance to join it!

To be in the running you just need to have your best tracks uploaded to the site by midnight Sunday, October 6th and have Newcastle or surrounds selected as your location. If they're still 'pending' in the queue that's okay, we'll listen to everything uploaded by the closing date before deciding.

2012

Fat As Butter takes over The Foreshore in Newcastle on Saturday September 22. Novacastrians will get an eclectic mix of acts with Grinspoon, 360, Mystery Jets, and Eiffel 65 just some of the names that appear on the line up. Urthboy, Hungry Kids of Hungary, Pond, Seth Sentry, The Rubens, Hunting Grounds and a stack of other Australian acts also made the cut.

Over the past four years, the Fat As Butter Festival has grown into one of the best events in Newcastle and this year is no exception with a fantastic line up of the finests local acts and international acts from the US and UK. It all happens on Newcastle Foreshore on October 22nd.

2010

The Fat As Butter festival will hit Newcastle October 23rd. WOLFMOTHER and US West Coast legend ICE CUBE are headlining and will be joined by Australia's best including Bliss n Eso, The Beautiful Girls, Tame Impala and Children Collide. And thanks to triple j Unearthed and the Fat as Butter organisers, if you're from Newcastle and surrounds you could be joining them!
