triple j Unearthed and rage are again teaming up with the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) for a unique initiative which pairs Australia’s most talented emerging artists with the creative brains of NIDA students.
A team of NIDA directing and design students will bring their skills, expertise and professional equipment into collaborations with seven innovative Unearthed artists to make a music video, which will be aired on rage.
We’re on the hunt for seven acts that deserve this opportunity.
Are you in a band, a solo act, producer or MC? We want to hear from you!

Can you get yourself to Sydney for 2 days between the weeks of 24th July – 6th August?
Can you be available for a few face to face (virtual or IRL) meetings with the NIDA team beforehand?

Past years has seen NIDA students team up with Polish Club, Mid Ayr, Midas.Gold and Suiix for some pretty amazing results.

And once complete, the tracks will receive their broadcast premiere on rage on ABC1!
The competition is open nationally on the proviso that artists can get themselves to Sydney for a minimum of two days at a time allocated by NIDA between the 20 July to 2 August, 2015.
To enter you must:
• Express interest by emailing us at competition@triplejunearthed.com with 'NIDA' selected as your subject heading
• Explain to us in at least a paragraph on why we should select you or your band.
• Provide us a link to your Unearthed profile and flag which song you would like to produce a clip for.
• Confirm you have read the terms and conditions listed below.

This year we are opening the competition to anyone in Australia who can get themselves to Sydney for a minimum of two days at a time allocated by NIDA between the 16 July- 5 August.

IN the past two years of this initiative several of the clips received high rotation on music video shows and channels, and in 2009 Guineafowl's NIDA clip reached #48 of Rage's top 50 music videos of the year. These clips have helped launch the careers of artists and directors alike.

If your band would benefit from this opportunity please express interest by emailing us with 'competitions' selected as your area. You must provide a link to your Unearthed profile and state which track you would like to select and tell us why we should select your band. You must email us by Sunday 22nd May.
