  1. The Unearthed Artist Agreement and General Competition terms and conditions apply to this competition.
  2. This competition starts 9am AEST on Wednesday 12th May 2011 and closes at midnight AEST Sunday 22nd May 2011.
  3. All artists from who have tracks uploaded to during this time will be eligible to express interest and the six winners will be chosen by a panel of triple j experts. The winner will be picked based on the overall perceived potential of the band. NIDA will be responsible for assigning their choice of directors to bands.
  4. The winners will be contacted before June 1st.
  5. The prize consists of the following:
    • An opportunity to have a NIDA post-grad Directing student workshop, direct, and film your video clip.
    • NIDA will support with film equipment and location for studio shooting as well as access to the supporting departments such as costumes and props, however all incidentals will need to be covered by the students/artists and/or discussed and agreed upon by the director and the artists.
  6. Filming will filming to be undertaken for at least 2 days during the period of Thurs 21st July - Thursday 4th August.
  7. Artists will be responsible for transport to and from workshops and location.
  8. The filmed material (student’s work) is owned by NIDA however promotional rights will be extended to Unearthed and the artist. There will be no commercial transaction for this work and the filming and production will be under the guise of the NIDA education program.
  9. The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
  10. No replacement will be offered in the event that the prize cannot be claimed on the stipulated dates.
  11. In the event that the winner of the competition is under the age of 18 years, a guardian over the age of eighteen must accompany the winner at the guardian’s expense.
  12. Judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  13. As a winner, you will be representing triple j at this event. As such you are obligated to behave responsibly and professionally and comply with the rules and requests that triple j and the event organisers ask of you.
