This is fantastic! Honest storytelling with tricky rhymes, catchy hooks, and beautiful instrumentals. You're a clever songwriter and deserve to have the spotlight shone on you - hope we see more from you this year!

I love jangly guitars and big drum parts, which automatically means I love Safe to Stay. Aside from that, the only thing bigger than that chorus is the character and heart you two portray in your music. It's hard to believe there's only two people behind this project; there's just so much going on that melds so well together. You make music that makes me feel good.

I don't know what it is about this track but I absolutely love it. Nothing overly complex, great lyrics, easy to bop and sway along to.. I think what I like the most is how it's very much pop punk but it's not cheesy. It's a nice change to what else is kickin' around at the moment. Feels good, man.

Brendon Urie-esque vocals with You Me at Six-esque guitars has this alt-emo heart jumping for joy. Love the hints of your pop punk roots, too! You guys really know how to write an earworm.

"I'm feeling pretty wrecked right now" was my mood so far today until I popped this on. Woke me the frick up and made me wanna crack open a beer and jump around like the idiot I am. Too bad it's 10.27am on a Monday morning.

Big yes to the wholesome TV show theme-esque intro into the punk guitars and gorgeous-yet-gritty vocals. That big note at 01:11 punched me in the face and it was awesome. I haven't been this excited about an Adelaide pop punk band in a long time - it reminds me of a 2019 version of All Year Round! Bring on SMALLXTALK's future plans!

Uhhhh where the hell has this beast been hiding?! What a huge first release! Your 'sounds like Saosin/BMTH/The Getaway Plan/Hands Like Houses' statement is bang-on - you can hear elements of every band here. It's hard to believe Landon has kept that beautiful singing voice hidden behind his screams for so long. This is sick.

Y'all just keep going from strength to strength, and it's hard for this weakling to keep up. Absolutely crushing it as one of the best heavy bands Australia has to offer.

A very mysterious intro bursts into huge guitars and drums! The tone of every instrument in this is beautiful. There is a clever restraint in the vocals and I love how the bass line chugs along. I like the introduction of the screams but wish there was a separate line where they could shine instead of being stuck as a backing vocal.

Oh Heather, your voice turns me into the human embodiment of the heart eye emoji. Love the change-up, it's refreshing and shows your versatility. Thanks for showing a whole new vulnerable side to Cry Club.

That guitar tone is flippin' beautiful, it reminds me of something Turnstile would write. Love the darkness of Caitlin's vocals in the verses, it's something we haven't heard much from her before but it just works. And that chorus absolutely soars! And the screams!! Holy moly, this is my favourite track on the album by far. I cannot fault it.

I love how the music follows the lyrics in Bury Me. The white noise-esque guitars and single-level vocals in the first chorus mimic the numbness of being left alone by the one you love, then the incoming pain and anger arrives in the second verse, and frustration bursts through in the bridge. This is really cleverly written and a huge step up from the WF guys.

I am completely and utterly obsessed with this. Swim has those Stella Donnelly/Carla Geneve/Alex the Astronaut vibes, but with a Tegan and Sara-esque upbeat pop edge. Clever lyrics, too - how do you convey so many emotions such a seemingly simplistic way?! I AM SO IN LOVE AHHHHHHH

What struck me the most with this track is the theatrics of it all. It's blindingly obvious in the vocals, but even the changing time signature with off-beat drums and sharp guitars just demand your attention. And how about that change-up at the 1.20 mark?! There is a danger of too much happening at once for some listeners, but damn this was a wild ride and I NEED to see how it translates ...

Some catchy little riffs you've got there! This has all the fun of a Dune Rats track, but with a bit more focus - in a good way. There seems to be a bit of disconnect between vocals and instruments in the verses, but those choruses go HARD. And that guitar break at 2.30 bloody well bowled me over.

One of my favourite songs of the year. The simplicity, the delivery, and the raw vocal talent are a powerful combination - but it's your lyricism that blows my mind. Anecdotes and adjectives and a colourful vocabulary, with tricky little mid-sentence rhymes, plus the way you tell the story with eloquence and conviction.. it's just incredible. And thanks for throwing in that brass line...

Twinkly guitars are the key to my heart, and with Popsicle you've not only opened the door, you've made yourself right at home. Jordan's sweet melodies and Mason's abrasive vocals complement each other better than ever, and the crescendos are in all the right places. It's great to hear Madura Green be this confident again!

Another strong offering from No Oaths. I'm a big fan of how that chorus bursts through after a comparably-sleepy first verse - that guitar line really shines!
