Ain't this a tasty little treat?! It's like if Missy Higgins wrote a song for Vera Blue but swapped the piano for synths. Also, that "I didn't know you, I didn't know enough, I had to learn the way you love" is totally reminiscent of the pre-chorus from Perfect by Simple Plan. This is a wild nostalgic ride and I am here for it.

The You Me At Six influence is strong in this one. A mix of deep and soaring vocals, tight guitar and bass lines, and huge drums. I frickin' love this - a big step up from last year's EP.

RUMOURS IS BACK, BABY! So glad to hear your polished roughness again. Those vocals absolutely soar in the chorus, yet the verses are so dark.. it's a combination you guys continually nail. Beastly.

This is the only soggy cereal I like. I can totally picture this as the perfect windows-down roadtrip track - I reckon might test it out tonight!

A pretty cool message I wouldn't normally expect in this type of music. I think you've inspired me to listen to past dance music I've enjoyed to see what other messages I can find.

This is so lush! But somehow you make many intricacies sound so simple. The songwriting is honest and vulnerable, and that guitar line is reminiscent of a top-tier Didirri track. Beautiful stuff.

Smooth intro pops to a clean upbeat verse, before a well-rounded chorus jumps to a second verse which crashes in like a freight train. I want to say the break did TBM good, but that would be dismissing just how great their previous work was. Yet somehow, the gang has really stepped things up with Deceiver. It's darker, punchier, and more refined, and it gets my second ever five-star rating. If this band isn't on your radar this year then change that ASAP.

I think the best word to describe Glass Tides is balanced. This is raw and vulnerable yet anthemic. There is restraint and release. Each instrument has its place with nothing overpowering. It all just works. Oh, and that piano line is a beautiful touch.

This flows on SO nicely from New Tradition! Everything is so balanced and tight, but I love that Lewis' vocals are really given the chance to shine. The contrast between bright chorus and dark, mysterious verse is cleverly done. And that riff! Phwoar! There are so many elements in play here and you guys nail every single one.

WELL HELLO THERE. Ain't this a great way to be introduced to your band! Jangly in all the right places and those mellow vocals are the perfect touch. That synth line is strong but not overbearing, which I really like. You make making music sound so easy.

The guitar tone in this is turning me into the human embodiment of the heart eye emoji. That build near the end is bloody marvellous, too.

Congrats on receiving my first ever five-star rating!!! It's so hectic to think that just two people can make so much noise - and not only that, it's noise that needs to be heard right now. DFTM is so important and so damn badass. I don't like to be ~that person~ but 2019 is the year of Cry Club and I can't freakin' wait to see what's ahead.

This is not what I was expecting! You've got a name almost reminiscent of pop punk bands of the last decade, but this is some fresh indie pop rock right here. I want to compare this to Sheppard but there's a grittiness behind it that makes it less polished, and I mean that in an entirely good way. Would love to see how this is interpreted live! Good stuff.

Well, ain't this a glorious little ditty! The contrasting happy-and-sad-sounding guitars are my favourite part of this song, though the clever lines like 'there's a crack above our bed and sometimes I think it's going to swallow us' littered through the lyrics are a highlight, too. This is the tightest this band has sounded, and Vic's voice is just exquisite.

I'm not sure who asked for Australia's own version of Basement, but I'm glad they did - this is bloody brilliant. A huge step up from 2017's EP (which I adored). This is my favourite unearthed upload of 2019 so far, nice one fellas.

What's this? ANOTHER ripper tracker by Bearclaw Camp? Not surprised, tbh. Stonecoat lulls you into a sense of calm before sucker-punching you in the guts with all the best bits of punk you could muster. Love the heavy edge added to every track. Instant fan right here.
