Starting from humble beginnings Fijian born, Melbourne-based rapper Zeal Static is coming up quickly from the underground to make his name in the current musicsphere. After migrating to Australia, Zeal was immediately introduced to a completely new culture, it wasn’t long until he was familiarised with the likes of Ice Cube, 2Pac and Naughty By Nature. It was clear that the path was then paved for Zeal, it was only natural that he became a rapper. Zeal like most migrant families came from nothing, but that wasn’t going to get in his way. It gave him the push and drive to continue pursuing his dreams as a musician. Zeal’s journey is one that many Australian families can relate to, growing up in a broken home with a single mother, Zeal channels these personal experiences into his music with infectious raw lyrical content which sets him above the rest. The Melbourne rapper has the complete package mixed with an unmatched style that infects the streets of Hip Hop, this was showcased in his first mixtape “The Underground Railroad Mixtape Vol 1,” released in 2010 and hosted by Australia’s No.1 Hip Hop DJ, Nino Brown. The mixtape boosted his presence in the hip hop with his single “Wat U Thinking,” gained radio play for two consecutive weeks in Fiji and a sponsored launch tour and live radio interview on 2day FM in Fiji. The following years he went on to release “The Underground Railroad Mixtape” Volume 2, World Wide Revolution, featuring various artists from Australia, USA, UK but this time it was hosted by DJ Kris-Styalz from Black Wall Street and DJ for The Game. In 2014 Zeal linked up with RnB singer Terence Kritical to release “Dreams & Wishes,” featuring 2pac & Outlawz member Hussein Fatal on the album version. Hussein Fatal praised the song and lyrics comparing it to ‘THUGLIFE’ and ‘Outlawz’ music. Fast forward a few years and Zeal dropped “Fight My Battles,’ which was about racism, police brutality and discrimination, it garnered attention from notorious blogs such as HipHopDX, ThisIs50 and radio plays world-wide. A rapper you will never forget, Zeal is ready to step it up with his highly anticipated 5-track EP "Meet The Rebel” in July.
