Lance Ferguson and his nine piece Melbourne outfit The Bamboos have come a long way since forming in 2001. Initially inspired by the instrumental raw funk of the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, they've made waves internationally, toured relentlessly, released five acclaimed albums and collaborated with the likes of Aloe Blacc, Megan Washington, Daniel Merriweather, Bobby Flynn and Tim Rogers. Their single with Tim Rogers 'I Got Burned' was voted in at number #54 in the Hottest 100 of 2012.

These guys are both amazing singer-songwriters on their own, but when they come together for Sweet Jean it's really something else again! You could call it alt-country-meets-indie-meets-whatever but I don't really want to define it - it's just beautiful, honest and sincere music.
