Al is a Melbourne-bred, Sydney-based music writer who's been a long time triple j affiliate. Now he writes some fancy words online and does a bit o' talking on your wireless for all your fresh music goss. He also loves him some emerging Aussie talent. Fun fact: still allergic to bananas but slightly less terrible at riding bikes.

Whatta short, lyrically sharp showcase!
'Teacher said I would be nuthin'/but your children have me bumpin' is late contender for boast of the year. But this also really flexes your skills behind the mic as much as on it. Love how you've balanced the growling bass with that whistling synth topline, and the vocal chatter (is that one of Kanye's 'Perfect!' ...

Don't know if you could tell from the reviews but this one's all about That. Voice. There's some epic production that kind of competes but this is clearly the work of a strong writer. Not quite what I was expecting after Chasing Butterflies, but that's a good thing.
