Tell us about your music – how did you develop your sound?

We are fascinated by new music and what goes in and out of style. We all have similar musical taste which makes collaborating artistically a little bit easier. Classic influences like the Beatles, Dylan, Bowie, 70's Lennon, Rod Stewart are still in the back of our minds. But, at the moment we are writing with 17 years of musical influence, so we are over loaded with different influences which has made our sound vary quite a bit between songs. It makes it harder for people to listen to our music and recognize it as our music. For example, on one end of the scale there are the mariachi style guitar licks of 'True Dat', and then on the other end there are some electro keys in songs like 'Straight Through' and 'Girls Do Cry'.

How long have you guys been playing live and what should the audience expect?

We tend to put a lot of thought into our set lists, arranging them in a way that still has a good energy at the beginning as well as maintaining a kind-of dynamic that evokes a good energy in the audience. We have been playing as a band for about 2 years and have since started to develop a stage presence. This however is definitely something we are still working on, like out music, it is under constant development.

Highlights of this year for the band?

About 3 months ago we had to change our name after we discovered another band called King George. So we went through that grueling process and all decided on San Cisco. Also we played Southbound at the start of the year as well as a few other festivals which were awesome.

What’s coming up in the future?

The calendar is looking pretty good at the moment with the release of our debut EP, Golden Revolver, coming up on February 4th. As well as some other great gigs such as The Big Day Out, St Jerome laneway festival and we have a trip over east lined up where we are playing FUSE festival in Adelaide and we have a gig in Melbourne, opening for Stonefield. Exciting++
