I really, really like this - it's sweeping dusty plains and wistful reflection while driving on wide roads. I love the twang of the guitar and the cry of the strings. Has this been receiving airplay? I hope this has been receiving airplay.

Wow*. This is magic - it manages to be both a hard-hitting anti-rape feminist message and sweetly irresistibly melodic. It soars into the chorus line, and sends chills up the spine. "Why was she all alone, wearing her shirt that low?" is a damn powerful lyrical moment.

*I know I'm late to the Stella Donnelly party - can only apologise and thank goodness I got here eventual...

An authentic local voice, layered on top of trappy beats and a squelchy repetitive loop - noice.

What Max said is right - sounds like we are inside an aquarium. Really luscious, full, blissed out sound. I like it!

Driving sound, twangy electric gee-tar, echoed and layered vocal line lends that upbeat euphoria (must be cos it tricks us into thinking it's a singalong, which is always feel-good)...

This is really pretty, and grabbed me immediately as melodic and sweet. But the strings in the second half take it to the next level of divinity... ahhhhhhh

I'm pretty sure Spotify suggested this to me - so I didn't even discover through Unearthed. Impressive. Not hard to see why it's gained such traction and exposure - it's catchy, polished indie-pop. Sweet vocals, lyricism, driving rhythm. Can hear it on the soundtrack of some TV drama...

I really love this chick. What a compelling, sure voice she has - her singing sounds effortless. As does her songwriting. This is another catchy indie-pop gem. Keep doing you, gurl.

Jaysus gurl. This is some luscious and mellow-good shiz... I first heard it ages ago and fell in love instantly. (Don't know if I've in fact already reviewed it).

Her voice is honey-sweet and velvet-smooth, with a little hurt at the edge. But it's the lyric, "All I ever wanted was you to think that I was good" that kills me.

Is this song real life? It's so luscious and dreamy and divine and evocative and all the feels, people, ALL THE FEELS!!! Again, an aural slice of heaven I was recommended by Spotify... suffice to say it was in my Hottest 100 vote. To discover she reached an audience through Unearthed reminds me why I love this UE thing so damn much xoxo

Starts off gently with distant references to Chet Faker and the like... gets better, so much better. Twangin' bluesy guitar, it builds and sucks you in with each listen, and it's great.
