Love the way that lead guitar propels the song. It keeps the momentum at full speed. Great song.

Hypnotic groove. Wanted one small change up in the mix, but it's got lots of style.

I could call it a reflective track. But that's a terrible pun and totally beneath me. Today.

So let me just say it's deep, without wallowing. And it's different, without any self-consciousness about it.

I was on board after about 5 seconds. Great production - a little chaotic in the best ways - and I can hear Freddie Gibbs and Death Grips for sure in the tone of that vocal. Commands attention.

Not perfect, but not far off either. They've got all the signs here of making something really great in the near future. This - for now - is a pretty polished and dynamic indie pop track.

When that chorus kicks in, the angst is replaced with strength, the darkness with hope. One for lovers of classic alt indie.

Dreamy, feather-light stuff that still packs a punch with that chorus.

Those slightly wonky synths that poke thru around 2.45 mark got me in a good way. But that chorus is gonna be seriously hard to shake for the rest of the day. Earworm alert!

There's always been an interesting sonic vision behind this act. It continues on this new track. The industrial drive behind this one, those layered vocals, that thick bass - it all works.

Brings back memories of early '90s bands like Lush. That shuffling beat, that chord change into the chorus, the lead guitar, the dreamy vocal - it all still works for me.

Soaring vocal, plenty of on-point attitude, a thundering rhythm, plus a dirty as bass line. Not much to dislike here.

I loved his winning DMA's remix, and I'm so glad he got to create this as part of his mentoring sessions with Kim Moyes. It's got a lot of restrained beauty to it.

Sure, they wear some of their influences very clearly on their sleeve. But the way they draw those influences together, and impressively add their own punch and dynamics, makes me keen to hear what more they've got for us this year.

I've reviewed her before, and she keeps me coming back to check out what else she's got. Once again, there's an underlying strength here that is utterly convincing.

Only just spotted this track from Jai of Tora fame. It's a few months old, but right on time now for summer! Sultry house vibes.

Two really powerful songs this year. Proud, loud, honest, and all wrapped around a great hook.

Really accomplished new song, with an interesting arrangement that holds you the whole way. Besides the killer voice, I love the little guitar lines that drop in and out, culminating in the lead break that takes over towards the end.

Bounces like a rubber ball, and as fun as one too. Great vocal delivery, and an interesting collab for the talented Kon Kersting to be involved in too.
