Simon and Hamish have a storied history of making great records across a variety of projects between them, from I'lls to Kllo and their silly but excellent project Couture. This is a new space for them as they veer into downcast indie channeling a little Pinback, Built to Spill or the American Analog Set. 90s indie done lovely.

Jaecy brings the impact on this silky Raf Receipt cut. It's a well chosen feature that compliments the strengths of both artists. I'm keeping the receipt but no refund required, this is tasty.

The way you've produced this reminds me of Danny Brown's Kush Coma. That's high praise.

You can hear the pain coming through with every chorus and these two vocalists do their damndest to make you feel it like you lived it.

There's so much to remark upon here, from Sora's unexpected vocals which really trumpet out in the choruses to those thundering 808 bass sounds. You're master craftsmen, no doubt about it.

If you maintained the earthy warmth of Tash Sultana but made it just a little bit more straight down the line, you might end up with something in the spirit of this song from Forrest Run. It's natural and welcoming, quick to embrace and squeezing you tight.

Blink 182 had 'miss you', Bilby has 'vibe check'. It's sad but not desperate, just a simple reality that sometimes we just get really, really sad and feel disconnected from those around us.

Haunting and sparse like empty streets in the darkness of pre-dawn when you've been out all night and just can't bring yourself to return home

Calling your track Nostalgia Seed right off the bat had me in that headspace, helped not at all by those buried, reverberating vocals that carry the airy, magical (we don'y say ethereal round these parts) essence of a dream.

For a song written about being trapped entirely within your own head and losing touch with your friends, this sounds stunningly open and expansive. You're here with that modern porter robinson palette and I like it.

We've heard nuum go full hyper-pop recently but in this moment we're hearing him at his more vulnerable and direct. Vocals mixed gorgeously high allow for every lyric total clarity. The song's tone is actually really tricky to pin down - I veer between melancholy and sweet nostalgia though I guess in some ways those aren't all that far apart.

Here's a late night record for the kick ons and the backroom D&Ms... That perfect intersection between classic emo and modern hip-hop that Juice WRLD trod so well is here in spades.

'Frank' is supremely morose and sweet... tinged with depression and hopelessness but optimistic with human connection. It's a 90s west coast emo fantasy.
