Eliza and the gang have pulled it off again.
They’re never an artist to lack feel or melody and in this case, it’s the perfect culmination of both. That pay-off at the end is simply world class.

Effortlessly-cool soul topped with terrifically unique voice.
For the fans of old school Chet Faker - one to keep an eye on for sure.

ZUMA have crafted a hugely distinctive sound, it's beyond interesting.
Shades of Tame Impala, Blondie and King Gizzard in this one, an extremely gripping listen and I can only imagine this triples in size live.

There is something so incredible about the way Noah crafts his songs.
Lyrically he presents such a casual yet gripping theme, and musically he structures his songs as free-flowing and as thoughtful as anyone. They scream for a live band yet are so perfect being these acoustic ear worms.
Go Yev.

A little alt-rock gem for the fans of Slowly Slowly and Dear Seattle.

(just wish it was mastered louder).

Dreamy and boppy and straight out of the 2011 movie, Drive, starring Ryan Gosling.
In my opinion there can be no greater compliment.

Brash and in-your-face - at this point you can expect nothing less from Kelsy Karter.
I can only imagine this would completely explode live, definitely putting this live show on my bucket list for this year.

Literally overflowing with feel good melodies and a lovely little comment on privilege that evoked a 'yep, nice' from me.
A whole stack of influences present in this one too, keen to see just a couple honed in on.

Massively dreamy with a chorus that's just begging to be played in big rooms across the country.
Can't imagine it'll be long until that's the case.

A personal highlight from Bigsound 2018.
Cannot wait to see the singalongs to this chorus live, can't even imagine the scenes.

When BATTS sings, you listen.
A simply captivating voice and the ease she slips from the luscious highs to conversational lows is staggeringly effective.
I cannot bloody wait for this album.

Filthy - there's no other way to describe this song.
That build up to the last 30 seconds leads to one of the biggest moments in punk music this year, absolutely huge.

Yep, 5 stars for this one.
The shoegaze guitars, the Molly Rankin vocals, the amazing bittersweet chorus - THAT OUTRO. Egoism, I feel, have just firmly planted themselves as the one's to watch for 2019 and beyond. I cannot wait for more.

@Drummer, Questlove would like to have a word with you, this is simply incredible.
Such a stupidly well put together song. I can only imagine how hard a sweaty dancing crowd would get behind this.

This is such a clever little blend of a few genres.
It absolutely takes off at the bridge with a incredible synth line and never lets up. Finishes so damn strong.

This is one big time machine to late-December when everyone is in holiday mode.
Really strong melodies throughout and the production is super well done, the drop is an absolute cracker.
Keep your eyes on MDWS, big things coming.

Knew straight after that drum intro that this was going to be a post-punk banger. How can you say no to that snare? Then the synth comes in and I'm hooked.
Hard to not compare the vocals to one certain Mancunian jangle-pop band from the 80's and I don't think there can be any higher compliment.

The samples and sounds keep you glued until that absolutely magical chorus hits.
Could slot straight into an early 2010 rom-com you'd take your mum to. Is that a weird thing to do? Let me know please.

Humongous riff complimented by Pat's best vocal performance to date.
The drums + bass on this rock so damn hard as well, especially during those verses - so tight!.
