This one's a really mature step forward for Kitschen Boy.
They've shown that they can trade that bold energy for something a little more reserved and laid-back. ARF is a super sun-drenched track that makes me mildly resent the fact we're heading into winter.

It's hard to miss the Alvvays in this but it's definitely still uniquely Sunscreen.
This is a favourite of mine live (go see them!) and it's translated so well in the studio. Unbelievably keen for the EP!

This one definitely goes exactly where you don't expect.
I love the synth and lyrics are super charming. The drum beat is definitely the dude doing 140 on the highway - makes the song go by in a flash.

I'm so excited about Start Together. One of my favourite bands coming from QLD at the moment.
Stick around for the chorus on this one, it's an alt-indie cracker.

This track makes me feel like I'm driving down the street at 2am and people are looting every store in sight in slow motion. I really really like it.

Think 'I Don't Care' era Fall Out Boy having beers and/or good times with Luca Brasi.
Super lovely (and appropriately gritty) punk just teetering on the right side of pop.
Love the new direction!

Eliza and the gang have pulled it off again.
They’re never an artist to lack feel or melody and in this case, it’s the perfect culmination of both. That pay-off at the end is simply world class.

ZUMA have crafted a hugely distinctive sound, it's beyond interesting.
Shades of Tame Impala, Blondie and King Gizzard in this one, an extremely gripping listen and I can only imagine this triples in size live.

Literally overflowing with feel good melodies and a lovely little comment on privilege that evoked a 'yep, nice' from me.
A whole stack of influences present in this one too, keen to see just a couple honed in on.

Filthy - there's no other way to describe this song.
That build up to the last 30 seconds leads to one of the biggest moments in punk music this year, absolutely huge.

@Drummer, Questlove would like to have a word with you, this is simply incredible.
Such a stupidly well put together song. I can only imagine how hard a sweaty dancing crowd would get behind this.

Knew straight after that drum intro that this was going to be a post-punk banger. How can you say no to that snare? Then the synth comes in and I'm hooked.
Hard to not compare the vocals to one certain Mancunian jangle-pop band from the 80's and I don't think there can be any higher compliment.

Humongous riff complimented by Pat's best vocal performance to date.
The drums + bass on this rock so damn hard as well, especially during those verses - so tight!.

For fans of ‘Don’t Delete the Kisses’ or anything M83.
This song is so hugely ambitious and Treehouses have absolutely nailed it. Definitely clear to see why they are so heavily backed across the country. Such a dreamy song with incredible lyrics.
