Ugh, yes. I'm gonna have to swing a night off and get to the album launch at Newtown Social. Just fantastic.

You've instantly created this mood of anticipation, and then that soulful voice just absolutely starts setting fires about the place.

Wewww there's some killer fretwork here! Those first 40 seconds are searingly hot. I thought this was headed in like a prog-metal direction but, hey, what I found in the end was a lot more seductive and I'm pretty stoked about that.

I hesitated to say 'ethereal' because maybe it feels a little clichéd to write? Idk. But this is the overwhelming feel I get here. The beats per minute and minimalist production--right down to those secondary vocals hidden just behind everything else--are spot on for creating a lush, airy atmosphere.

So much power delivered in the most understated way. Angelic and heartbreaking at once.

Sometimes I try to pinpoint the 'hook' in a tune - the part where if I'm showing others I'll go, "Hey, listen to this bit." I always say the hook is the part that sticks with you when you pull the headphones off after your first listen through, the part your brain tries to piece together later on when you're not even thinking about music. I always say the hook is the part that sticks with you when you pull the headphones off after your first listen through, the part your brain tries to piece together later on when you're not even thinking about music. Turns out the hook here is that punchy pop chorus, because I gave this one listen through and found myself humming it a few hours later.

About as beautiful as it gets. I was snatched up by those glassy nylon strings and loved how they evolved throughout. And there were so many little minute points of difference that combined to build up to that tall crescendo. I like this a lot.

You're gonna destroy people live. Not much I can say that hasn't already been said except that I can hear the experience that ripples through this. Everything down to the way you bleed the verses together and into the chorus is just pro.

I'm drinking a lime cordial and soda and listening to this, and honestly I'm not sure at this point which is more refreshing. To be fair, I've nailed the cordial/soda ratio (less is definitely more when you're dealing with a real bitey concentrate), but this is also a super crisp punk rock track.

Points for the super endearing pop rock tune. Points ALSO for the Battlestar Galactica reference, which IMHO remains one of the best sci-fi narratives everrr.

Yeah this is HIGHLY impressive alright. You've taken what was already a fantastic rock tune and thrown in some strings like that to give it that real emotive depth, and in the process you've absolutely sold me on you as a band. More please.

There's deep, twisted intrigue to be had here. I had you at 3.5, but you know what? I've just realised I'm on my 5th straight listen through and I actually can't get enough. The production is legit fascinating and I reckon you're onto something unique.
