Pairs well with: A poorly made instant coffee and Skins Season 1 on DVD. Originally conceived as a way to keep their creativity and sanity in check between other musical endeavours, Marc and Dylan would meet whenever their schedules allowed in their Redfern-based studio perched above FBi Radio (also inhabited by fellow creatives, The Tapes and Mickey Kojak). Marrying introspective vocals, stirring guitar lines and dense groove-based production they create saturated soundscapes with a hint of nostalgia. Sharing a clear vision of how their songs should tangibly breathe and sigh, the pair call on the strengths of their careers (as an audio engineer/producer and session musician) and elect to produce and mix all their music themselves. The result is LEAR: “The soundtrack to a film yet to be written”.
