So many great elements working well together! The slick beat for the intro, the guitar around the 1 minute mark, the kind of marching snare at around 2:10, the keys? around 3 mins to bring it back - they all work perfectly with the vocals on top.
The song has a nice steady build to it as well.

Yes you mentioned violet and now I won't be able to get it out of my head all week. Can definitely hear the Carly-Rae Jepson similarity with the vocals, but also with the catchiness of the chorus. It's a light and breezy spring/summer sound that we need at this point TBH.

I've been listening to the Dissect Podcast about Childish Gambino's 'Because The Internet' on Spotify this week, and they discuss they way he uses half-step intervals to set tones and TBH, I feel like you have a similar ability to create an unsettling mood in this track.

Can definitely hear the influences through this one, particularly Daft Punk. But only if Daft Punk were spending quarantine in Byron and decided to collab with Ocean Alley after a trip to Nimbin. Totally agree with Declan Byrne about the crispness as well. If this song was made of potato it'd be in the form of a crisp. If it was in a Southern Californian gang, the gang would be called ...

What a complementary pairing! Paces' backing serves as a (in their own apt words) 'lofi chill pop' platform, from which Cloe's vocals can shine (not unlike diamonds). If Andy Samberg was their boss, he'd be excited about the synergy.

Oh man, vocals sound so much like Passenger - remember that guy that sang that "Let Her Go" song. I love the honesty of the lyrics, especially for someone so young. Keep writing champ! You have all the foundations here.

I feel like there could be three distinct songs made out of the elements of this song, or maybe it's like an example of photomontage but for music - if that's a thing. But you've brought them together so well that this would no doubt be the best of the three.

Not sure if that '99 Lancer is roadworthy but this song certainly is. I'm also a fan of the brass at the end and you can definitely hear the Kanye influence in the delivery.

Slowing it up a bit with this one but still has that unique Montreals sound to it. Cute song and all but DON'T BE THE PERSON THAT DITCHES THEIR MATES WHEN THEY MEET SOMEONE! ( coming from someone who is always the friend :/ ).

You call that two knives? This is Two Knives. You can just tell that these guys would light up the stage like Aurora Borealis at this time of year, at this time of day, in this part of the country, but we may not see them because of this dumb virus.

Ooft. I feel personally attacked because you've called me out so hard but even though I should be resisting this, I'm paralyzed by the infectious rhythm (loose Simpsons reference).
