Amazing vocals throughout this dark yet sultry tune. Honestly have to agree with the other reviewers, I can dead-set hear it as a promo/opening for a tv show. Get on that sweet synch cash mate!

This is such a catchy, fun track that I actually added to my playlist as soon as I heard it a few weeks ago on the Unearthed Spotty playlist. Reminds me of Circa Waves circa 2015. :)

There are so many enjoyable elements to this song! Totally agree with other reviews - definitely Foster The People x Tame Impala x Jagwar Ma kind of psych/alt vibes here. I had to double back and listen again straight away.

Declan Byrne nailed it with the Maddy Jane comparison! Definitely hearing that. Oh man, the part about not having your mates in the same state who can comfort you hit home (literally fled to QLD just before borders closed in Dec because I needed this exact scenario). Again you've delivered super relatable lyrics atop a strong sound.

Woah, wasn't expecting that chorus - totally thought it would go in an entirely different direction. Love being caught off guard like that with music. Super original!

So many great elements working well together! The slick beat for the intro, the guitar around the 1 minute mark, the kind of marching snare at around 2:10, the keys? around 3 mins to bring it back - they all work perfectly with the vocals on top.
The song has a nice steady build to it as well.

I've been listening to the Dissect Podcast about Childish Gambino's 'Because The Internet' on Spotify this week, and they discuss they way he uses half-step intervals to set tones and TBH, I feel like you have a similar ability to create an unsettling mood in this track.

Yes you mentioned violet and now I won't be able to get it out of my head all week. Can definitely hear the Carly-Rae Jepson similarity with the vocals, but also with the catchiness of the chorus. It's a light and breezy spring/summer sound that we need at this point TBH.

Can definitely hear the influences through this one, particularly Daft Punk. But only if Daft Punk were spending quarantine in Byron and decided to collab with Ocean Alley after a trip to Nimbin. Totally agree with Declan Byrne about the crispness as well. If this song was made of potato it'd be in the form of a crisp. If it was in a Southern Californian gang, the gang would be called ...

What a complementary pairing! Paces' backing serves as a (in their own apt words) 'lofi chill pop' platform, from which Cloe's vocals can shine (not unlike diamonds). If Andy Samberg was their boss, he'd be excited about the synergy.

Oh man, vocals sound so much like Passenger - remember that guy that sang that "Let Her Go" song. I love the honesty of the lyrics, especially for someone so young. Keep writing champ! You have all the foundations here.
