Lucinda R.

Great song and honest lyrics. I love the intimacy and subtle build-up, transporting me somewhere else, in between, it gives me that cosy melancholic feeling I don't wanna let go of. The arrangement and production are beautiful and intricate, serving Lucinda's songwriting and vocal perfectly. I can't wait to listen to a full album from her.

Turns Out I'm Someone Else

This song is my favourite from the Jessie Monk catalogue, but I really am loving everything she's writing and putting out there. Though her sound is bathed in familiar influences, it's still a breath of fresh air. Her songwriting is following the trajectory of the greats and her vocal will stop you in your tracks - wait until you hear her hit and hold that high note at the end of this...

This song is my favourite from the Jessie Monk catalogue, but I really am loving everything she's writing and putting out there. Though her sound is bathed in familiar influences, it's still a breath of fresh air. Her songwriting is following the trajectory of the greats and her vocal will stop you in your tracks - wait until you hear her hit and hold that high note at the end of this song live! The arrangement and production choices she's made, helped along by the superb musicianship of her bandmates, perfectly serve this song. I can't wait to hear more from Jessie in the next batch of songs she releases - her talent never ceases to blow me away.
