Flow Commotion produces music that fuses a number of easy-listening genres, creating a unique mix of folk/soft-rock sounds that sets the scene for the emotive and provocative themes which they explore. The band has a real focus on conveying meaning and narrative through their songs.
Hailing from Sydney, the band started out as two mates (Paddy and Tim) jamming at each other’s houses and having a crack at writing original music. When the guys realised their music had potential, they quickly enlisted the talented Henry Sinclair to give the band some percussive depth. A few months later, Paddy’s brother Tom joined the band on keys. The band released their first song in November 2017. The song, ‘Bright Wings’, reached #7 on the Triple J unearthed roots chart.
2018 has been a break out year for Flow Commotion. The band has gained significant momentum in the live music scene, playing a number of gigs including as a feature artist at the Envision show case hosted by RAW: Natural born artists as well as multiple shows at a number of inner Sydney music venues.
