If anyone's got a Midas touch for pop music, then it’s South African-Australian producer Jesse Porsches.
Having written and produced for artists including Flume, KLP and his own projects as Jesse Porsches and Super Cruel; the Sydney-based producer has been recognised as a true Australian songwriting talent by both industry stalwarts and publications alike.
2017 saw Jesse leap into the spotlight as a solo artist, with the release of his shimmery dance-pop jam ‘The Weekend’ featuring Xavier Dunn. The track garnered over 300k streams on Spotify alone, whilst the official music video received acclaim from tastemaker blogs including Pilerats, who declared “Jesse’s Porsches’ new clip will make you pray for summer’s return.”
Not straying from his penchant for collaboration, 2017 also saw Jesse launch is second duo project Super Cruel with Adelaide producer Tigerilla. Their debut single ‘November’, featuring the unmistakable Lisa Mitchell, amassed over 2 million Spotify streams and was added to full rotation on triple J.
With his knack for head-bopping hooks and a classic pop subtlety, Jesse Porsches is no stranger to delivering a good earworm; and with a slew of singles, remixes and gigs lined up over the coming months, it doesn't look like Jesse will slow down any time soon.
